Le 19 mai 2025, le Centre européen de sociologie et de science politique (CESSP) et le Centre d’études turques, ottomanes, balkaniques et centrasiatiques (CETOBAC) ont accueilli à l’EHESS une rencontre avec deux représentants du projet “A land for all”, qui promeut une Confédération de deux Etats Israël-Palestine*.
Omar Dajani, professeur de droit à la McGeorge School of Law (University of the Pacific), et Dahlia Scheindlin, consultante politique, ont présenté les principes et ambitions de cette initiative. Animée par Hamit Bozarslan et Gisèle Sapiro et commentée à distance par Chibli Mallat, avocat international libanais, la discussion a notamment porté sur les avantages du modèle confédéral et sur la transition vers un modèle fédéral, à partir d’exemples historiques.
Cette rencontre s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’initiative d’un collectif d’intellectuels coordonné par Sari Hanafi, Samuel Moyn, Thomas Piketty et Gisèle Sapiro, et qui a signé une Declaration à l’Union européenne afin de promouvoir le modèle de la confédération de deux Etats. La Déclaration a recueilli à ce jour 560 signature de 36 pays.
On May 19, 2025, the Centre européen de sociologie et de science politique (CESSP) and the Centre d’études turques, ottomanes, balkaniques et centrasiatiques (CETOBAC) hosted a meeting at EHESS with two representatives of the “A land for all” project, which promotes a two-state confederation of Israel and Palestine*.
Omar Dajani, professor of law at the McGeorge School of Law (University of the Pacific), and Dahlia Scheindlin, political consultant, presented the principles and ambitions of this initiative. Moderated by Hamit Bozarslan and Gisèle Sapiro, with remote commentary by Lebanese international lawyer Chibli Mallat, the discussion focused on the advantages of the confederal model and the transition to a federal model, drawing on historical examples.
