Vendredi 31 octobre 11h-13h, hall du 54 Boulevard Raspail, 75006 Paris.
A l’occasion du forum de Paris pour la Paix, le Centre européen de sociologie et de science politique (CESSP) et le Centre d’études turques, ottomanes, balkaniques et centrasiatiques (CETOBAC) accueilleront à nouveau deux représentantes du mouvement israélo-palestinien A Land for All (ALFA), porteur d’un projet de confédération de deux Etats Israël-Palestine, pour discuter des perspectives politiques dans la conjoncture créée par l’accord de cessez-le-feu et le plan de paix proposé par Donald Trump.

Yaël BERDA, professeure de sociologie à l’Université de Jérusalem et fellow à la Middle East Initiative at the Kennedy school of government de l’Université de Harvard, coprésidente du comité directeur de ALFA.
Rula HARDAL, chercheure au Kogod Center for the Study of Jewish and Contemporary Thought de l’Institut Shalom Hartman à Jerusalem, codirectrice de ALFA.

La discussion sera modérée par Gisèle SAPIRO, directrice d’études à l’EHESS et directrice de recherche au CNRS (CESSP).
Cette rencontre, qui se tiendra en anglais, s’inscrit dans le sillage de l’initiative d’un collectif d’intellectuels coordonné par Sari Hanafi, Samuel Moyn, Thomas Piketty et Gisèle Sapiro, et signataire d’une Declaration à l’Union européenne afin de promouvoir le modèle de la confédération de deux Etats. La Déclaration a recueilli à ce jour plus de 600 signatures de 36 pays.

Towards a two states confederation Israel-Palestine? Following the debate on the political project of “A land for All”

On the occasion of the Paris Peace forum, the European Centre for sociology and political science (CESSP) and the Center for Turkish, Ottoman, Balkan, and Central-Asian Studies (CETOBAC) will host again two representatives of the Israeli-Palestinian movement A Land for All (ALFA), promoter of a confederation of two states Israel-Palestine, in order to discuss political perspectives in the new conjuncture opened by the cease-fire agreement and the peace plan proposed by Donald Trump,

The discussion will be moderated by Gisèle SAPIRO, professor of sociology at the EHESS and senior researcher at CNRS (CESSP).
This meeting, which will be held in English, is part of the initiative by a group of intellectuals coordinated by Sari Hanafi, Samuel Moyn, Thomas Piketty and Gisèle Sapiro, who have signed a Declaration to the European Union to promote the two-state confederation solution. The Declaration was signed to date by more than 600 intellectuals from 36 countries.
